The Melting Pot Myrtle Beach is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our Back of House team. This position is one of the most important roles in the restaurant. Having a high standard for prep work is highly important to the job and directly impacts every guest's experience.
This is a physically demanding position. We are looking for someone who enjoys staying busy, takes pride in their work, and is looking for long-term employment—not just a temporary job.
Responsibilities
Wash, sanitize, dry, and properly organize all dishes, cookware, utensils, and equipment.
Set up dish washer to clean prep dishes throughout shift.
Empty trash and recycling throughout the shift.
Sweep and mop all work areas as needed.
Clean and maintain guest and employee restrooms.
Organize and maintain food storage areas and ensure items are properly stored and labelled.
Identify and resolve minor operational issues independently and communicate larger issues to management.
Work as a team to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen.
Prepare recipes according to company specifications and presentation standards.
Complete daily prep efficiently to ensure the kitchen is fully stocked before service.
Receive and verify produce and food deliveries for quality and accuracy.
Properly rotate all inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
Put away deliveries in their designated storage locations.
Wash and sanitize prep dishes, utensils, and equipment throughout the shift.
Maintain a clean and organized prep area at all times.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Communicate inventory shortages and quality concerns to management.
Work efficiently while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
Assist with additional kitchen tasks as needed to support daily operations.

Physical Requirements

Ability to keep pace during busy dinner service while maintaining quality and organization.
